When it comes to King Dosi…it is for sure great to be a King. This strain is top notch and quickly becoming my go-to favorite. But before we get into the details of the effects, let’s set some strain groundwork.
King Dosi is also known as the King’s Stash. It’s a cross between King Louis XIII and Do-Si-Dos and is an indica dominant strain. The batch of flower that I purchased and am consuming comes in at 20.5% THC which is pretty decent. It is rich in terpenes as evident as soon as you open the jar. The smell of pine and some pepper and even some citrus seem to be the 3 dominant aromas. The bud’s eye appeal is awesome. They tend to be compact and loaded with trichomes and will be a mix of dark and light green with a fair amount of orange hairs mixed in.

Flavor profile will remind you of maybe some sweet breads and maybe even have a smooth caramel finish. Taste is not as strong as the nose. The tastes were not a sweet or fruity as other strains I have tried, but very pleasant.
Remember the rule back in one of my earlier posts? Indica is also a known as an “In da couch” strain. King Dosi will for sure make your couch or bed your best friend. It is not a strain to take during the day when you hope to still be productive. It is perfect for those who need help falling and staying asleep as well as for those needing some muscle relaxation.
But let’s get into my personal experience with the KING! I decided to intake this flower via smoking and I prefer natural papers so the taste you experience is the cannabis, not the rolling paper. It has such a smooth smoke. No burning. No scratchiness. It’s an easy, heavy smoke. In my experience, this strain is a creeper. You can take about 2 or 3 puffs and think you are not going to feel much. But then…BAM…it’s on ya like a fly on…never mind.
After about half way through the joint, it was “make my way to the couch” time. Once on the couch, it didn’t matter what was on TV or the radio or going on outside the walls of my home. I was relaxed and calmed and giddy. My muscles melted. My feet were down there somewhere. I could see them. Feeling them on the other hand…not so much. It seemed that the full on effects hit about 30 minutes after my last puff. Effects could still be felt at least 3 hours post last puff. I found myself wanting to hum a few bars of a song or at least my brain was trying to tell me to hum a few. Not sure I hummed anything. It then turned into such a relaxing high. I just wanted to lay there, finish watching whatever it was on TV, turn on some music for sleep and then just let my mind and body go.
So again, if you are suffering from anxiety or insomnia…this strain is a must try at some point. If you have recurring muscle spasms or chronic muscle pains…this could be the strain for you. On a scale of 1 to 10, King Dosi gets a solid 9 from me. Could be a 9.5 if the effects were a little longer lasting, but nothing to really complain about here with this strain.
So there you have it…my review of the King, King Dosi. Have you already tried it? Agree with my assessment? Would love to have your feedback and/or comments so take a few moments and shoot me a comment below.
