Like so many people…I tended to look up strain reviews before deciding on a purchase. But then I realized something pretty quick; strain reviews are worthless.
Every person is different. Every person has a unique physiological makeup. Cannabis effects vary depending on several factors such as how much a person had eater prior to a sesh or how tired they are or how fast or slow their metabolism etc.
This would explain why you read reviews of a certain strain and see some say it’s a “great day time strain” while others say they found it to be great for sleep and experienced “couch locked.” How can the same strain produce differing effects? As I mentioned already, everyone has a different metabolic system, but even a certain strain can differ based on where it was grown, how it was grown, the purity of the original genetics etc etc.

If you want to see exactly what I am referring to, go out to Leafly.com and look up any strain. Then scroll down and look at the reviews. Not only are they hilarious, but they are all over the map when it comes to how they think it effects you.
I have also discovered that reviews can differ widely even when discussing a strain’s terpene profile and potency. One person says it tastes sweet and peppery while another says it tastes gassy and skunky. Then another says a strain is “potent” while another says it had little effects. Whose review do you believe and use as a decision to purchase or not? Whose review was more accurate? I say they both were because the person leaving the review had their own personal experience that no one can question.
This is why I say reviews are worthless and this is why I will no longer be writing strain reviews. Take my advice, just try various strains for yourself before casting any judgement on how that strain may or may not be right for you. If you try it and like it…then who cares about those who say it’s not worth buying. That is my two cents on the subject.
